Physical Therapist
When people ask me why I became a physical therapist, I answer my dad. He had three surgeries in 10 months on his roping shoulder. His PT is who got him back in the arena. His rodeo career was able to continue because of the dedication and hard work of his PT.
As I was pursuing my degree, I had a barrel horse with an injury. My vet tells me to rehab my horse and then to tell him how I did it. That horse returned to the arena. Thus began my journey of rehabbing horses. Now I'm driven by my fascination of the performance horse/rider relationship. This fascination drove me to start Rider's Edge.
My commitment to you is to be in your corner. I will be a valuable member of your team. Together, we can bridge the gap. I'll work with you, your horse, vet, trainer, and farrier. Better performance in the arena is where it’s at.
My background
I graduated from Physical Therapy school at Arkansas State University. I have a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University.
I got my first pony when I was two. I've competed in everything from all around events at the Quarter Horse shows to barrel racing, team roping, and breakaway roping. For the past nine years, I've worked for either Rodeo Sports Medicine or the Justin Sports Medicine team. I've worked events including the Timed Event Championship, Pendleton Roundup, American SemiFinals, and Ram National Circuit Finals.
I enjoy traveling this great country, competing with my horses, a good deep belly laugh, great conversation over coffee, and a good silk wild rag.
